Effective date: August 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Wecheer SA (“Wecheer”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our website, apps, and Platform, and when you join Advertiser Programs. It applies globally, with additional region‑specific disclosures where required.
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), and, where applicable, the EU/EEA GDPR and the UK GDPR.
Our roles (controller/processor). Wecheer is the controller for Platform-level processing (e.g., account management, safety/security, analytics, and Wecheer service communications). For each Program you opt into, Wecheer acts as a processor to the relevant Advertiser for Program administration, eligibility validation, reward accrual/redemption, and Advertiser communications performed on their behalf. Where Wecheer and an Advertiser jointly determine certain purposes and means (for example, co‑designed Program mechanics), they act as joint controllers and will transparently allocate responsibilities; a high‑level summary is available on request.
We do not knowingly process data of persons under 18. If we learn a minor created an account, we will delete it.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time via in‑app settings or by contacting us; this will not affect processing that has already occurred.
We use cookies and similar technologies on our sites and SDKs in our apps to enhance the user experience, and for functionality, analytics, personalization and advertising (on our or partners’ properties). You can control cookies in your browser and manage app permissions on your device. Where required, we will request consent for non‑essential cookies/SDKs. See our Cookie Notice for details of providers and retention.
We share personal data with: – Advertisers you opted into (only for their Program and related marketing consistent with your choices); – Service providers acting under contract (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, communications, fraud detection, customer support); – Reward providers to fulfill redemptions; – Legal authorities where required by law; and – Successors in corporate transactions, subject to this Policy.
We rely on trusted sub‑processors for infrastructure and operations (for example, cloud hosting, storage/CDN, communications, analytics, and fraud‑prevention). We do not list each provider here; we ensure appropriate contractual safeguards and can provide categories of providers upon request.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their independent marketing unless you expressly consent.
When you leave a Program, Wecheer stops sharing new data with that Advertiser. The Advertiser may retain data it already received per its own policy and legal obligations.
We operate globally. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Switzerland/EEA/UK. Where we do so, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or nFADP/GPDR derogations where applicable) and assess local laws to protect your data. You may contact us for a copy of relevant safeguards.
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you request account deletion: – Your account enters a 30‑day dormant period during which you can reactivate it; – After 30 days, we permanently deactivate the account and delete or anonymize personal data unless retention is required by law (e.g., tax, anti‑fraud). Backups are deleted per scheduled cycles.
Depending on where you live (e.g., Switzerland, EU/EEA, UK and certain U.S. states), you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. You may also withdraw consent and opt out of direct marketing at any time. To exercise rights, use in‑app tools or contact Support@wecheer.io You can lodge a complaint with your local authority (e.g., FDPIC in Switzerland; your EU Member State DPA; ICO in the UK).
We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk (including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, monitoring, vulnerability management and incident response). If we become aware of a data breach that poses a high risk to your rights, we will notify you and regulators as required by law.
You can opt out of marketing emails/SMS in messages or via settings. Transactional and service messages related to your account or Programs you joined are not marketing and may continue as necessary to provide the service.
The Platform is for 18+ only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; we will delete any such accounts.
Links to third‑party sites and services (including Advertiser sites, reward providers, and SDK providers) have their own privacy notices. We are not responsible for their practices.
We may update this Policy to reflect legal or operational changes. We will post the new version with the effective date and notify you of material changes via the app/website or email where possible. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
This Policy is provided only in English; any translation is for convenience and the English version governs.
